Alexandra’s Wing Walk

12:00 pm - , 30/09/2017, Chiltern's Aerodrome

On 30th September 2017 Alexandra bravely reached new heights by doing a Wing Walk in aid of CornerHouse.

The drive up was pretty nerve wracking (possibly more for Jenny than Alexandra) but pretty soon Alexandra was keen and raring to go. She bravely watched the video showing how to keep safe and then signed her life away..

..before we knew it she had climbed up on top of the plane, got strapped in (checking it several times) and then she was off! There were lots of massive smiles and thumbs up all round as she glided over the Oxfordshire fields, admiring the views while literally flying. At speeds of up to 135mph it was quite something.

Her exact words were ‘WOW’ and ‘When can I go again?’… by which we interpreted that she had a fantastic time, combining her love of flying with her passion for CornerHouse. To date she has raised over £900 which has left both Alexandra and CornerHouse pleased and exciting for future endeavours.

It is not too late to sponsor Alexandra for her bravery – click here. If you would like to do a sponsored event to help raise CornerHouse’s profile and funds do get in touch – fundraising@cornerhouse.cc.
